About Anahata Collaborative:
We specialize in artisan-created micro events, and are also able to create unique artisan experiences for your guests. Anahata Collaborative is a WOMAN-OWNED, social-impact venue. A portion of all rentals goes towards scholarships for local woman artisans to have access to expert business support and more. All of our vendor partners are also local women-owned or family-owned businesses.
About the space:
Tucked away on the lower level of a historic lumber building is our home away from home carefully un-designed to feel like a zen industrial loft space with magically soaring ceilings and impossibly huge glass garage doors walking out to our garden. We are more like a speakeasy, a walkout basement, or even a hidden gem.
This lumber building was originally built to be located ON a railway line to facilitate transportation of the lumber. Since then, the building has been remodeled and the railway has become THE paved cycling and walking path through Minneapolis and beyond now called the Midtown Greenway. We are fortunate enough to have our huge glass garage doors open right on to our garden space and the Midtown Greenway giving us beautiful nature views, amazing south facing natural light, and easy accessibility by bike and pedestrian paths as well!
About the location:
We are located in the heart of Uptown, Minneapolis which is a prime location in the LynLake area of Uptown. Within a block or two you can explore popular local businesses such as French Meadow Bakery, World Street Kitchen, Jungle Theatre, Common Roots Cafe, Milkjam Creamery, Moto-i, The Lynhall, Art Materials, Mpls Yoga, One Yoga, at our door step. Better yet, follow the Greenway a couple blocks to Lake of the Isles and Lake Calhoun.
